The third edition of SITE - photographic works presents a photographic group exhibition entitled black box at Galerie Christian Lethert, Cologne from 15 June to 08 July 2022.

Drawing on an ancestral passport from his family's archive, Hamburg-based artist Marc Botschen conceptually brings together self-portraits, everyday intimacies and philosophical text fragments like ingredients of a cake batter for his work Piece Of Cake. The interweaving of content and formal narratives is explored both in his book and on the wall, provoking a radical dialectic of not knowing. Identity itself here represents a continuous process of identification: incessantly dependent on images and filtered through the cultural production of meaning.
